- Developed an Elasto-Magnetic effect based total strain/stress sensing method for steel cables and implemented on real bridges to estimate the cable stress loss during construction and operation stages.
- Built a scaled model of a cable-stayed bridge, implemented the structural health monitoring system on it and conducted experiments and structural evaluation.
- Developed computer vision-based structural monitoring methods and implemented on multiple structures to estimate the structural behaviors and evaluate structural performances under various types of loads.
- Analyzed seven months displacement data from a bridge health monitoring system and extracted the bridge profile changes under long term temperature effects.
- Extracted the temperature induced and the traffic induced strain components from the measurements of fiber optical sensors using Wavelet Analysis.
